Barcrest MPU3 replacement RAM module

Are you finding that Barcrest MPU3 RAM getting hard to find?

When you do find it are prices getting high now?

If so then look no further! I have designed and had made a limited quantity of these plug in boards which contains a modern RAM chip and just plugs in the space of the two existing chips.

Simply position over the existing ram sockets (IC8 / IC7 making sure every pin on IC8 is positioned correctly and covered and IC7 will then be in alignment) and push in place!

** please note if your ram sockets are broken or very green with corrosion then you may need to change these too as the ram board, like all ram, does need good connections in the sockets**

I designed and had these made myself for my repairs on MPU3 boards, and now I have decided to open these up for sale.

This board will cure BAD RAM ONLY, it will NOT cure any other board faults such as board not resetting properly or poor ram supply volts.

As Barcrest had different ram for there early boards this WILL NOT fit in those, the best way to tell is by looking at IC24 just below the RAM

IF IC24 = 74LS12 MY BOARD WILL FIT

IF IC24 = 74LS03 THIS IS A EARLY BOARD AND MY RAM BOARD WILL NOT WORK
